Dear Sutton Parents & Guardians,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority.

This letter is intended to inform you that Sutton was placed on lockdown this morning as a safety precaution due to police activity in the neighborhood.

After the Phoenix Police Department advised our school administrators to place the school on lockdown, staff acted quickly and ensured all doors were locked and all students were accounted for and inside the building. No one was allowed to enter or exit the building during this time. We maintained constant contact with Isaac School District’s Safety & Emergency Preparedness Specialist and worked closely with the Phoenix Police Department.

Once we received confirmation from the Phoenix Police Department, who deemed the situation safe, the lockdown was lifted, allowing our school to resume normal operations.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to ensure a safe, secure, and positive learning environment for students and staff. Please do not hesitate to call our office at 602.442.3200 should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mr. Benito Jimenez

Principal
