Good Afternoon Parents!! Bret Tarver Preschool is doing our absolute best to ensure a fast, smooth, effortless drop-off and pick up for all students, each day. In order for this to happen, we need your help!! All classes will form a drop-off, and pick-up line, at the north gate of the parking lot (right by the office). If you have a car, please stay in your car to drop off your child. If you are walking to school, please form a line on the sidewalk, outside of the north gate. As stated, ALL classes are forming a line in the same spot at different times throughout the day, depending on the program your child attends. Please do not start the drop-off/pick-up line until 5 minutes before the designated time for your child’s classroom. Please see the schedule below for drop-off/pick-up times for each classroom. Shining Stars Program (Room 11 & 12): Drop-off begins at 7:00am and is done through the school’s office. Pick-up ends promptly at 4:30pm and is done through the school office. Stepping Stone (Room 10): Drop-off takes place from 7:50am – 8:00am. Pick-up takes place from 11:50am – 12:00pm. Developmental Preschool (Rooms 1, 2, 9, and 15): Morning drop-off takes place from 8:30am – 8:45am. Morning pick-up takes place from 11:15am – 11:25am. Afternoon drop off takes place from 12:15pm – 12:30pm. Afternoon drop off takes place from 3:00pm – 3:10pm. First Thing First (Rooms 5 and 6): Morning drop-off takes place from 8:30am – 8:45am. Morning pick-up takes place from 11:30am – 11:40am. Afternoon drop off takes place from 12:15pm – 12:30pm. Afternoon drop off takes place from 3:15pm – 3:25pm. If you arrive after your child’s designated drop-off or pick-up times, please park and head into the office. ¡¡Buenas Tardes Padres!! El preescolar Bret Tarver está haciendo todo lo posible para garantizar una entrega y recogida rápida, fluida y sin esfuerzo para todos los estudiantes, todos los días. Para que esto suceda, necesitamos tu ayuda!! Todas las clases formarán una fila para dejar y recoger a los estudiantes en la puerta norte del estacionamiento (justo al lado de la oficina). Our thoughts and hearts are with the families and community who have been affected by the tragic incident yesterday in Uvalde, Texas. Attached is Bret Tarver's school newsletter for the month of May. We would like to thank all of the absolutely phenomenal teachers that Bret Tarver has to offer, not only during teacher appreciation week, but for their effort, passion, and support all year round! If you haven't told your student's teacher thank you lately, send a quick email, or shout out a teacher in the drop off/pick up line. Any acknowledgement, no matter how short or sweet, makes all the difference!

In addition to our butterflies, we found another insect visitor in our garden!! Another highlight of each day is going out to the garden to harvest and check on our fruits and veggies. Our tomato plants have been thriving, and our students were so surprised to see our corn crops sprout up this week!

Spring time is an exciting time at the Bret Tarver Isaac Preschool because it means many classrooms receive caterpillars. Room 10 received caterpillars several weeks ago, and the children have gotten to observe and document in their journals, the caterpillars grow, form chrysalises, and emerge as butterflies. The students in room 10 have loved having these creatures as visitors in the classroom, and spend much of their time during free play simply watching them and discussing what they see with their friends.
