Yesterday, A Stepping Stone class took a field trip to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. With so many hands on activities, the students had a blast!! Climbing structures, painting, sock skating, and a dramatic play grocery store....what's not to love?? Have you been to the Children's Museum before? Ayer, la clase de A Stepping Stone hizo una excursión al Museo de los Niños de Phoenix. ¡¡Con tantas actividades prácticas, los estudiantes se divirtieron muchísimo!! Just a friendly reminder about the school schedule for this upcoming week. Classes will meet as regularly scheduled on Monday (11/20) and Tuesday (11/21), then there will be no class and the preschool will be closed from Wednesday (11/22) - Friday (11/24). Last week, A Stepping Stone classroom got to attend their second field trip of the year and visit Tolmachoff Farms. The students learned about what products come from the produce from the farm, navigate a corn maze, pick fresh fruits and veggies to take home, ride in a tractor train, and play around the farm. Everyone had such a great time and cannot wait to go back next year!! La semana pasada, el aula de A Stepping Stone pudo asistir a su segunda excursión del año y visitar Tolmachoff Farms. Los estudiantes aprendieron qué productos provienen de los vegetales de la granja, navegaron por un laberinto de maíz, recogieron frutas y verduras frescas para llevar a casa, viajaron en un tren tractor y jugaron en la granja. ¡Todos se lo pasaron genial y estamos ansiosos por volver el año que viene!

November 6-10 is National School Psychology Week. At our preschool site, we have two school psychologists, Dr. Dalia Rostenberg and Mrs. Doris Alarcon, who both provide support to our team through a variety of activities. Our psychologists schedule and lead Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team meetings, evaluate students to identify them with developmental delays and educational disabilities, support teachers, families, and administration, provide training on special education topics, and support student needs by observing, consulting, collaborating, and helping to develop plans of support in the preschool setting. They also facilitate the planning and implementation of quarterly Child Find preschool screenings to help identify students with potential delays as well as participate in the planning and implementation process of transitions from preschool into kindergarten. Thank you to our school psychologists for all you do! Del 6 al 10 de noviembre es la Semana Nacional de Psicología Escolar. En nuestro sitio preescolar, contamos con dos psicólogas escolares, la Dra. Dalia Rostenberg y la Sra. Doris Alarcón, quienes brindan apoyo a nuestro equipo a través de una variedad de actividades. Nuestros psicólogos programan y dirigen reuniones del Equipo de Evaluación Multidisciplinario, evalúan a los estudiantes para identificarlos con retrasos en el desarrollo y discapacidades educativas, apoyan a los maestros, las familias y la administración, brindan capacitación sobre temas de educación especial y respaldan las necesidades de los estudiantes observando, consultando, colaborando y ayudando. Desarrollar planes de apoyo en el ámbito preescolar. También facilitan la planificación e implementación de evaluaciones preescolares trimestrales de Child Find para ayudar a identificar a los estudiantes con posibles retrasos, así como participar en el proceso de planificación e implementación de las transiciones del preescolar al jardín de infantes. ¡Gracias a nuestros psicólogos escolares por todo lo que hacen!
