Today's Governing Board Meeting was proudly hosted at Joseph Zito Elementary School, where Principal Ms. Laura Couret de Gentile extended a warm welcome to the Isaac Community. The Zito Student Council delivered a powerful recital of the poem "The Promise Land," setting the tone for a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This was highlighted by an energetic performance of "De Colores" by a group of vibrant fourth-graders. The student performances concluded with a display of traditional "gritos" by a talented group of scholars. The meeting also included a comprehensive review of site accomplishments and a special recognition of staff achievements. We are deeply grateful to our ISD Community for their ongoing commitment and support in making these meetings successful. #IsaacPride

Today, the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) held its first meeting of the year, welcoming the second cohort of student leaders! Superintendent Dr. Mario Ventura and K-8 Social Studies Strategist, Ms. Kimberlee Preston, met with representatives from all ISD middle schools. The focus of the meeting was on introductions, defining their leadership roles, and how they’ll collaborate to drive positive change in their schools. The SSAC is dedicated to amplifying student voices across the district while fostering leadership skills and civic engagement for a brighter future.



Mitchell Elementary School’s 4th and 5th graders had an unforgettable day at the Arizona Cardinals Youth Training Camp with Big Red, the cheerleaders, and some Cardinals players! 🏈✨They sharpened their football skills, learned the importance of staying active, and had tons of fun. Huge thank you to the Arizona Cardinals and our amazing Mitchell Staff for making it all happen!

Pueblo Del Sol hosted our ISD Governing Board this evening. Principal, Ms. Griselda Cohen presented proficiency data, extracurricular activities, family engagement, and an academic continuous improvement plan. Our community enjoyed delightful dance performances from elementary and middle school students. A big thank you to all for joining us. This week, students from kindergarten to 8th grade are participating in the i-Ready Diagnostic Assessment. This assessment provides insightful information to students, parents, and teachers about the students' current knowledge and areas for growth in Reading and Math. Students had a delightful surprise when Plory from i-Ready visited their school. Plory encouraged the students to try their best during the assessments. Kudos to the teachers and students for their hard work!
