Mitchell Elementary was the host for today’s Governing Board Meeting. We extend our gratitude to Principal Dr. Ryan Garza for warmly welcoming the Isaac Community to their campus. The theme for tonight was travel, and the audience was taken on a journey on "Eagle Air," with Dr. Garza as the lead pilot. The trip was filled with site achievements, staff celebrations, and student performances. As always, we want to express our appreciation to our staff for their commitment to making every meeting a success, and to our Isaac Community for joining us.
We are thrilled to announce that Joseph Zito Elementary School has joined the Disney Musicals in Schools Program. Our students recently had a chance to perform the beloved "Finding Nemo" film at ASU Gammage. Yesterday, they had the opportunity to perform the musical for their families at their school site. The students were amazing on stage and created unforgettable memories. This wonderful opportunity has brought the joy of musical theater to our Zito Scholars.

Today we reflect on Amanda Gorman, the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. History. She has received numerous awards and honors for her written work such as poetry collections and children’s books. She is an activist who advocates for climate issues, equality, and education. Her determination inspires us today as she continues advocating for change.
Tonight’s Governing Board Meeting was held at P.T. Coe Elementary School. We express our gratitude to Principal Ms. Robyn Lee-Hohman for hosting and showcasing the remarkable achievements of her students and staff from P.T. Coe and Isaac Online Prep Academy. The meeting commenced with school wide goals, special recognition of dedicated staff, and featured student performances from the cheer squad and singing from 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders. Thank you to our staff for their dedication to our Isaac Schools and thank you to our Isaac Community for joining us.

Today we reflect on Marian Wright Edelman, an American lawyer and civil rights activist. She became the first African American woman to be admitted to the Mississippi State Bar Exam. She helped coordinate campaigns and coordinate nationwide activities to help children.
