Dear Isaac Families & Staff,
Yesterday, the Maricopa County Superior Court ruled that the recent legislation which prohibits school districts from mandating face coverings is not yet in effect.
In light of this ruling, Isaac School District will now require face coverings indoors at all sites district-wide for all students, staff, and visitors effective tomorrow, August 18. This requirement supports our multi-layered approach as recommended by the CDC and the AZ State Department of Health.
Our community continues to be in the “High Transmission” category and we are seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases. We will continue to monitor data and make decisions that are in the best interest for our students and staff. The district will revisit this requirement at the end of September.
Thank you for working with us to keep our community safe.
Mario Ventura, Ed.D.
Superintendent
Isaac School District No. 5
